Тhis is a black pine forest - the eastmost black pine plantation in the country. The total protected area is 360 acres. The area of this reserve is heavily choppy, with large and very steep slopes. It faces north, northwest and south. Its average altitude is 400 m. The soil is forest with cinnamonic traces. Besides the black pine, there is also a significant quantity of Sessile oak, some Hungarian oak and some hornbeam. There are some single white pine trees. In the undergrowth there is briar, sumac, blue juniper and others. The reserve has a rich herbaceous vegetation. The average age of the black pine trees is 130 years old and the oldest is 180.
