In "The Kazan beyug" area stands a complex of interesting rock formations located on the left bank of the Kazak dere River, with a height over 30 meters. The region has many rock-hewn structures - passageways, altars, grooves, furrows, trapezoidal niches and a well-preserved tomb with a groove for closing. Ceramic fragments have been found on the surface. One can view the sanctuary at the village of Tatul from here. No organized excavations have been conducted.
The river has formed two beautiful canyons, which locals call the Big and Little Canyon(Kucuk and Beyug). When approaching the rocks, one will see the figure of a stone giant that looks like someone on guard.
"The Faces" by Kazan Dere
They are near Raven village. On the way to the neighboring village of Tatul there are plenty of interesting rock formations along the banks of the Kazan dere River. The rocks reach a height of 30 meters and they resemble huge human faces and figures.
They are so precise that if they weren’t situated on strange and inaccessible places , we would think they were the work of a sculptor. There are many scattered pieces of pottery that suggest that the place used to seethe with life.
Between two river pools in the rocks by Kyuchuk Kazan and Beyug Kazan still stands the figure of this great stone giant that looks just like a real man.
The Tatul Sanctuary can be viewed from almost every rock here.
