The monument to Captain Petko Voyvoda in village of Plevun is located on the main village square near the church "St. Panteleimon". It is a 3-meters high stone figure of the great rebel. There is also an inscription:
"From the fence at this temple Holy Martyr Panteleimon the day of Saint Constantine and Helen, in 1878, Captain Petko Voyvoda from village of Dogan Hisar-Dede-Agachko, with two of his armed rebels and four Russian Cossacks, rescued the inhabitants of the village of Plevun under siege by numerous Turkish-bozuk and the hordes of the Englishmen Sinclair and took rescued residents tо the liberated lands of Ortakyoysko".
