Thracian tomb "Bin Kaya" - village of Vodenicharsko

Rating:
(0)

It is located 700-800 metres northwest of Vodenicharsko village. On the southwest side of "Hambar Kaya ", there are the remains of two tombs, located 6.50 m apart from each other. The first rock tomb has an open entrance hall, which represents a stair platform with a width of 2.60 m at the front. A meter further deep it narrows to 1.50 metres.A little further deep it transforms into a 1.80 m high arched niche, the lowest part of which is 1,32 m wide. Both sides of the niche are not vertical but slightly bent inward. There is a wide, low entrance, which has the width of the niche - 1, 32 m.
The second rock tomb consists of a long, open and bent outwards entrance, carved as a platform, the front of which is 134 cm wide. 90 cm further deep the passageway that leads to the tomb is narrowed to 20 cm. From here the hall narrows some more and then goes back to being 136 cm wide. Thus, the whole entrance is 174 cm long. The opening of the chamber was about 1 meter high, as can be inferred from the preserved part from the southeast side. The tomb chamber itself is 2.60 m long in its central longitudinal axis.
