It is held every year since 2001. The idea of the festival is to connect the European idea to preserve the rich diversity of the cultural heritage and to become a bridge, connecting the past with the present and future of the nations on the Balkans, Europe and Asia. In the beginning it has been a theatrical festival, but later the other scene arts found place too – music, ballet, dancing. In 2003 the art festival has been included in the National cultural calendar in which place take not more than 50 important events for the year. June’s feast turns into a interesting distraction, lovers of art and ancient history and it has also turned into the face of Perpericon. The festival duration is 3 days and at its end you can watch glorious spectacle of the end of which the “Zlaten Perperikon” award is given to an outstanding person from the Bulgarian cultural life.
