Public hunting "Zhenda"
Dzhenda Game Hunting Land occupies an area of 21,489 ha, includes two forest complexes, located on two different mountain ranges.
The landscape of the western one is typically mountainious with steep slopes and ridges as well as deep rocky gullies. The Eastern complex features rounded shapes, flat ridges and not very distinctive valleys. Mixed forests prevail.The maintained “Dzhenda” reserve is on the territory of “Dzhenda” Game Hunting Land as well as three nature landmarks ( "Borovete" protected area, "Elata" landmark and a natural habitat of fir trees).
Maintained reserve "Kazal Chirpan" has a total area of 39.9 ha.It represents 120-130 year old natural pure stands of pine, a remnant of natural vegetation. The nature landmark "Elata" has a total area of 0.5 ha. Is is a spruce plantation, a remnant of former natural vegetation in this region of the country.The deposit of natural fir has a total forested area of 13.1 ha.
"Borovete" protected area (“The Pines” protected area) has a total area of 60.1 ha. And is a buffer zone around "Kazal Chirpan" maintained reserve. The game reserve is inhabited by deer, mouflon, wild boar, rabbit, wolf, jackal, and fox. There are also protected species such as bear, weasel, wildcat, and otter. Among the birds inhabiting the farm are also the protected species such as a large hawk, a small hawk, common buzzard, owl, forest-eared owl, woodpecker, gray crow, magpie.
Two lodges - "Dzhenda" and "Bolyartsi"- have been built on the territory. They are both maintained in good condition. This provides an opportunity to host several hunting groups.
Mountain lovers can visit the reserve area and admire the beautiful scenery of the eastern parts of the Rhodope Mountains, where care for mouflon, deer, wild pigs, deer and bears has been become tradition. Wolves, the faithful companion of ungulates, show that wildlife in this beautiful part of Bulgaria is still alive. The magic of the Rhodope Mountains, the large stocks of big game, combined with a cozy lodge and experienced guides - these provide an excellent ground not only for real hunting, but also for taking a break in the virgin nature.
