Museum of Ardino

(0)

Parts of everyday life and the rituals of local people over the centuries are illustrated in the permanent exhibition in the restored ethnographic museum. Its building was built at the end of the 18th century and the headquarters of a Turkish military garrison had been housed there until 1912. The ammunition dump has been preserved in the yard.It is one of the few that have remained in Bulgaria from those times. One can still see parts of the stables, but it is rather dilapidated. Recently, the Ardino museum has been completely renovated with a collection of well-arranged ethnographic materials.
