Fanari is a coastal village about 30 km southwest of Komotini. Most
famous tourist resort of Thrace with many tourists during the summer
months. The resident population at Fanari is 422 residents.
The
coastal settlement, Fanari, is a modern resort with beautiful beaches,
camping, picturesque harbor with fishing boats and able to accommodate
yachts, fish restaraunts and hotels.
The small and quiet shore of
Fanari is directly accessible through the village, as well as the
outside of the arm of the harbor and next to the Skala. It is equipped
with umbrellas, while the thick sand and shallow waters make it to stand
out and be on the higher priority of preference of families and those
looking for a quick swim and a bit of calm away from throng of Arogi.
East
of the village beach stretch to the public camping and renowned as one
of the best in the area, for the clear waters. It is accessible via the
camping of Fanari and preferred by campers because of its direct access
from the campsite. The beach access is also possible through the sand of
the beach Arogi which is natural extension.
