It’s Located in the small park opposite the Archaeological Museum. It is the work of the talented local sculptor Peter Moschidis made of solid marble in 1930. Two large marble slabs that were added later, have engraved on them, the names of 63 Komotini people who were sacrificed during the Greco-Italian War of 1940-1941. The Memorial is not used today but it lies deep within the heart of the whole city, because among other things, is an important work of art.
