The Municipal Tobacco Warehouse (Municipal Tobacco Warehouse - Exhibition Hall) was built in the first decades of the 20th century as a tobacco warehouse by the Turkish tobacco merchant Kizhi Mimin. The building is an example of Ottoman neoclassicism, with a strong influence of the neo-classical European architecture. Today, the renovated building belongs to the Municipality of Kavala and hosts various cultural events such as exhibitions, symposia, workshops, lectures, seminars, book presentations, cultural workshops, musical, theatrical and dance performances, etc. Furthermore, the building houses the Naval Museum and will house the exhibits of the Folk Museum of Kavala and Tobacco Museum.
