Cave "Sharenka" named after the neighborhood in the town of Madan, Smolyan District. The cave is located about 2 km from the city of Madan. It is accessible via an asphalt road, but for hikers there is a mountain path about 1 km in length. "Sharenka" is a cave museum at 830 meters altitude. The cave entrance is located in marble rock, and then inclines to reach the underground passageway that leads to the two small galleries. Archaeologists have found that cave mining is carried out and it was inhabited during the Bronze Age (16-12 BC). On the ceiling of the Great Hall has a gap, which as a natural chimney is playing an important role in mining and smelting ore. In the cave was restored exposure of 10 wax figures of natural human growth, fireplace tools, and household utensils.
