The site is dated back to the 4th - 6th century. In the 6th - 14th century the fort was situated at the end of a hill extending westwards with a bare rocky ridge, at the foot of a riolithic rock. Probably the fortress had a triangular or trapezoidal shape with approximate dimensions as follows: length - 38 m and width - 20 m.The wall was built of stones fitted together with white mortar with ceramic admixtures. An abundance of household and building ceramics has been found on site.There are several castles near the village of Studen Kladenets that have been poorly studied:- A Medieval fortress ,1.13 km northwest in a straight line from the center of the village of Studen Kladenets. There are foundations of a wall and premises. The castle occupied an area of 0.9 ha. Altitude: 438 m GPS coordinates: 41 ° 36"55 "N and 25 ° 37"59 "ID- A Thracian fortress, 0.9 km west in a strtaight line from the center of the village of Studen Kladenets. The top, on which the fortress is situated, is accessible only from the west and south. Only on these sides was built a defense wall made of crushed stones without mortar..
