The wall of the Thracian fortress (4th -1st century BC) starts about 200 meters south of the village in the region Chit Kaya ("chit" - wall, brickwork; "Kaya" - rock, ). It was built of stones without mortar. This wall fenced the north accessible part of the fortress and encompassed an area of 1200 square meters. No organized excavations have been conducted in the castle so there are no registered buildings or other facilities. The wall is hard to find because of the trees and bushes that conceal it. Dozens of niches, some of which destroyed by time, were hollowed out into the rocks. There are parts of altars, chutes, slots and other. There are fragments of ceramic material. The crown mountain is impressive with its unique natural formations that resemble pyramids, mushrooms, figures of animals and humans. A stunning view of the water area of Studen Kladenets, the city of Kardzhali and Varbitsa estuary, is revealed from the top. Undisturbed by humans, many rare species of the ornifauna inhabit the rock.
